This morning I am surfing hard on the web, drinking tea and listening to Internet Radio.

Loft Classics : Presented by The State

The State invites five Disc Jockeys to explore the roots of contemporary Dance and Electro music at Loft Classics, an invitation only loft party inspired by DAVID MANCUO’S influential NYC loft parties.

Mancuso’s famous invitation only parties began in the seventies when Mancuso started playing records for his friends on a regular basis. The Loft parties were freewheeling and intimate and Mancuso was known for his ability to unearth and make hits of songs. It’s these traits from Mancuso’s parties that we will be recreated at Loft Classics.

Electro has become the standard of the Chicago party so instead we are inviting DJ’s to play anything but Electro Dance from era’s past and contemporary. We will unearth and reveal new hits and pay homage to the old playing everything from Soul, Funk & Disco to Jock Jamz and Hyphy.
